A dark purple apple with its own distinct flavor. Prefers dryer locations. The flesh is yellow, fine-grained, very firm, crisp, moderately juicy and fragrant with spicy aromas. Hard and acidic when first harvested, but softens, sweetens and intensifies flavours in storage.
